Safety-Training Program
The Safety-Training Program is a mandatory seminar that each Clean & Polish team member - from supervisor to crew - completes annually. This one-week seminar reviews OSHA and ANSI standards and highlights the proper use of the following equipment and procedures:
- Chemicals: HAZMAT program
- Controlled descent equipment
- Ladders and ladder work
- Mobile lifts
- Permanent installations
- Rescue
- Suspended scaffolding
- Tower scaffolding
- Window cleaning accident prevention
The Clean & Polish Safety Technician inspects all of our equipment and machinery. These examinations are documented per OSHA requirements. We also conduct first aid and CPR courses for every employee, as well as monthly safety meetings that review:
- Continuing education training video
- Equipment use and inspection
- Federal, state and local OSHA, ANSI and employee requirements
- HAZMAT program
- Rescue techniques
- Safety zones at both ground and roof levels
- Van safety (preventing accidents and correctly storing equipment, chemicals, first aid kits and fire extinguishers)
Clean & Polish's managing partners are active on the IWCA Board and the ANSI Safety Standards Committees. This involvement in the development and certification of the industry's safety standards allows Clean & Polish to lead the industry in the adoption and implementation of the most current safety regulations.
